Lucas Anderson, M.D.

Dr. Anderson completed medical school and orthopedic residency at University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He then spent an additional year of training at the OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Reconstructive Fellowship in Charlotte, North Carolina. His specialty training included partial and total knee replacements, anterior hip replacements, and revision total knee and total hip replacement surgery.

Hip preservation surgery is also an area of specialty training and research interest to Dr. Anderson, which includes hip arthroscopy and osteotomies of the hip for FAI (femoroacetabular impingement), Perthes, SCFE, and periacetabular osteotomy for hip dysplasia.

Areas of clinical interest: Revision Total knee and hip replacement surgery, Pediatric and adult hip and knee deformity and disorders, Hip dysplasia, FAI, Perthes, SCFE. Fracture surgery of the pelvis, hip and knee including peri-prosthetic fractures.

Dr. Anderson and his wife, Katherine Anderson M.D., trained in internal medicine and geriatrics, are pleased to return to live and practice medicine in their hometown of Coeur d'Alene with their two sons. His interests outside medicine include skiing, climbing, biking, racquet sports, and horseback riding.
